We’re Andy Malone and Emily Kaplan. We’re friends who met as freshmen in Harvard Yard a gazillion years ago. Since then, we’ve racked up quite a few writing and teaching credentials, including earning advanced degrees in education, leading school districts and national non-profits, and writing for academic journals and publications like The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The New York Times. Over the years, we’ve reflected on the need for better writing instruction — not only for kids, but for adults too. We’ve come to believe that the world will be a better place (truly!) when people can better refine, express, and exchange their ideas. 

In 2024, we decided to put our minds together, and The Hedera Group was born. We look forward to helping our clients communicate better than they ever dreamed possible.
